strange explorer issue

I've recently started having a strange issue with Windows explorer. I'm using Win 98SE as OS. When I go into a folder w/ pictures in it and chose view-as webpage, so that the little thumbnails come up on the side, several of the photos appear blurry to the point that I can barely make out what's in the photo. When opening files in Photoshop (it has a similar feature that opens thumbnails) it's doing the same thing. I tried uninstalling and re-installing my video drivers- same thing. I'm considering uninstalling a program called ACDSee that came with my HP printer to see if there is any connection but I like this program and don't want to get rid of it. This isn't a serious issue, just irritating-- anyone had a similar problem?

that might be a driver issue. dont just uninstall the drivers. delete their inf files from c:\windows\inf\other directory and then reboot and reinstall the drivers. better still, check if a newer version of the driver is available and install it.

as for ACDsee, its heavy, its protected and it costs! I prefer Irfanview for that, much smaller, faster, snappy and free!

thanks for the info-- I'll give that a try. What did you mean by ACDSee costs? They gave it to me with my driver disc on my HP. Do you mean if I upgrade it or is this usually just a trial that will expire?
