Before my Mother-in-Law goes out and buys this beauty..

I suggested that I could build something better for about the same money..
It was easy to find advice in on these forums about gaming builds, but not as much info for the basic build. I did find a thread that offered some reasonable advice..

Using that template, I came up with the following..
http://pcpartpicker.com/p/F25b

CPU - Intel Pentium G860 3.0GHz Dual-Core Processor ($68.76 @Amazon)
Motherboard - ASRock H61M-DGS Micro ATX LGA1155 Motherboard ($44.99@Amazon)
Memory - G.Skill 4GB (2 x 2GB) DDR3-1333 Memory ($25.99@Newegg)
Storage - Seagate Barracuda 1TB 3.5" 7200RPM Internal HD ($62.99@Compuvest)
Case - Thermaltake VL80001W2Z ATX Mid Tower Case ($34.99@Newegg)
Power Supply - Antec EarthWatts Green 650W 80 PLUS Bronze Certified ATX12V -$0
Optical Drive - Asus DRW-24B1ST/BLK/B/AS DVD/CD Writer ($19.99@Newegg)
OS - Microsoft Windows 7 Home Premium SP1 (OEM) (64-bit) ($79.20@Newegg)

I already have the PSU, so the price is closer to $340.
Any advice or thoughts are greatly appreciated.
