Is my gpu performing as it should?

I was just wondering, how do you know if your graphics card is performing as it should
for example
i have a superclocked gtx 550 ti and i get probably around 100+ (i cant exactly remember) fps playing tf2. how would you know if that is normal for that card??

Also when i play all points bulletin it is quite laggy

I am just concerned that my gpu is not performing at its fullest.

you compare yours to others benchmarked. Compared to a reference board you should be doing better and against anothr overclocked board , about the same.
Keep in mind some games are processor intensive and what you have might hinder getting full use of your card.
