Possibly nothing is broken but the source you are using has no or very
little encoded centre channel information?

or the center speaker is not turned on in the user menu or the volume
for the center spk is set low. if you have a stereo signal you should
get something.

I'm using 5.1 on the reciever. I still do get audio on the center
channel. Sometime I'm watching a movie. the center channel will get no
audio at all. And when I turn up the volume, the audio comes back. I
know its the reciever, because I switch speakers and it does the same
thing with the center channel.
Well, could be the relay involved with the center channel is cutting out.
Sony's don't seem to have this problem too much, but it certainly does
happen.
You could take an object such as the plastic handle of a screwdriver and tap
around on the relays and see if this initiates or temporarily fixes the
problem.

Where does the relays located and how does it look like? I haven't
open the cover to check inside yet. If I tap the center channels + or
- audio plugs it works again. then it will go out 30 to hrs later..
If I turn on and off the reciever I will get the audio again. Same
with the volume up (only) not down..

It appears to be located on a small board attached to the rear panel. Right
there where the center and rear speakers connect. Maybe just a bad solder
connection at a speaker terminal.

I checked it don't appears to be a bad solder on the center channel..
What should I check next.

We're probably back to the relay. At some point someone with an oscilloscope
is going to need to trace this. In all likelihood the amp output is OK but
the signal is getting lost somewhere prior to the speaker terminals.
