Maxtor external hard drive

Dear sir,my exeternal hard drive will not work I have even got a new power supply when I put on the round connector into the hard drive the green light comes on the goes off again, can you please help me.

The green light only stays lit when the drive is connected to both the power supply and the computer. That's normal.

If connecting it to a USB port makes no difference, test the drive with SeaTools for Windows:
