My motherboard is an ASUS P5QL Pro which I think is PCI Express 2.. I have a radeon 4850 installed but am looking for an upgrade as I have just upgraded to a 22inch monitor.. My budget is around £80GBP ($130) .. What can I get for this money? And what could I notice in terms of new performance?

Thanks for your help

you are perfectly fine to go for pci-e 3 cards.....all of them are backward compatible to pcie-2

I don't know how expensive is the 7850 in the UK but I guess it will be above your budget unless you find a very good deal. Other than that the 7770 should fit your budget. Also did you consider buying second hands cards? You can find very good deals sometimes and get something with even more performance for less.

I have an XFX 7750 as well, its DDR5, 1GB, and oc'd to 900mhz and I run Farcry3 in ultra 30+fps, Wow in ultra at 50fps as well. I highly recommend any of the 7700 series.

As a sidenote it was VERY affodable Amazon had it for $110. Can't beat that.
