Hi,

I have just bought a Project Debut 2 Turntable to transfer my LPs to
CD. However, I note on the silent passages on the recording I can
hear noise from the platter of the turntable as it turns. Is this
common, or do I have faulty turntable.

Thank you for any any advice you can give
Regards
Darren.

I guess it is a kind of vibrating noise, almost as if the platter is
not revolving evenly.

OK. Then you should check if the axis has been properly set in it's well,
that the platter sits correctly, that the belt is correctly positioned and
that there are no elements touching each other.

You can also remove the platter and belt and gently turn the motor (using
the pulley) for a couple of rounds.

Did any of the above solved your problem?
