I bought a Phillips Magnavox Learning Remote at Walgreens. It is model
PM435SL.It cost 12.95.

It had a lot of the ReplayTV codes already and I was easily able to
have it "learn" the ones I wanted.

Most important, I took out the batteries after I programmed it for
about 2 mins , put them back in and all was as I left it.

Looks like this is a pretty good unit
