a7v266-e blue screens after loading SP2

Anybody have any idea on why my bare system (mbd, cpu, mem and video card) would give me a stop error on bootup after loading SP2.
I have tried multiple times with both Professional and server and on a new install (no drivers and with all drivers including latest 4in1) and it still gives me the stop error after loading SP2. I've been loading it on the basic primary IDE and a CD-ROM on secondary (no RAID setup) and still cannot get it to load correctly. I've tried clearing CMOS, load setup defaults, and flashed BIOS with both 1004b and 1005 and still nothing.

What sucks is each time I have to reload to try something else. I've tried repairs and sometimes they work and sometimes nothing depending on if I've loaded drivers or not. but again as soon as I reload the service pack it gives me the stop error. I'm going to try to load sp1 then load sp2 to see if that works.

Does anyone know what SP2 would load to cause this???
