Hello I'm from the Netherlands so my English grammar isn't the best.
I bought a MSI P6N SLI Platinum, the CPU power connector is an 8-pin connector (I think it's an ATX 12v).
on my PSU (from an old hp workstation xw4400) is only one 4-pin connector. So i bought an adapter that would convert it to an 8-pin connector (I bought it here: ). when I looked up where the wires have to go was everything good on his place. But it doesn't do anything. When i unplug the cpu power connector and turn it on, then everything starts spinning and nothing shows up on the screen. I think that i bought the wrong adapter but when I look where the wires have to go everything is on his place. One thing that I have to mention is that my cpu power connector has 2 black wires and 2 white wires, I don't know if that is the same as a yellow wire or if it's the wrong wire.
My PSU has 460w.
I already tried to boot it up with only one SSD an one RAM module and I had the same results.
There is no on-board video card so I have an Asus GeForce GT520 silent video card.
