Only Have PCI express x 16 slot. What GPU should I get.

I have this ASUS M4N68T-M V2 motherboard. it only came with two of the PCI, one of PCIe x1 , and one PCIe x 16. My current GPU is a Radeon HD 6450( it doesn't say what brand it is, it looks similar to powercolor's but still different).

My FPS on skyrim is around 25~30 fps with lowest setting and 1024x768 window mode. If i switch to 1280x 960 window mode it will drop to 15~20 fps.
(my pc is set to adjust for best performance,too.)


Most of the best value cards are either 2.0 or 3.0.
My question is what GPU should i buy for playing games like skyrim, or Aion online, and other high graphic games. It needs to run smoothly on between medium and or high.
I know pcie 2.0x16 and 3.0x16 can fit into pcie x 16 slot, but not sure how much the pcie x 16 will limit the card that isn't pciex16' s performance. So what card should I get.
The budget is $85~$150

It will depend on your power supply. However, the 650ti would be at the top of your budget of 150, and if you could stretch it ~30 more you could get a 7850.

Not the answer i am expecting, but thanks anyways.(already read that article before posting)

My concern is rather i should get a pciex16 card which is not the best valvue, or other cards that are either 2.0 or 3.0.

If you get any pci exp 1.0 2.0 3.0 no matters.it will work in your pc.if you plug 2.0 and 3.0 card the performance will be same.gpu never ulilizes full speed of pci exp slot.for playing games you nee better gpu.
