Question about Crossfire (not answered in FAQ, I'm pretty sure).

I have a Radeon 6950 right now and am going to buy another 6950. The one I have is by Powercolor, and has a speed of 800MHz. The one I'm getting is by ASUS and has 810MHz. I overclocked my card to 810 but the ASUS one is still getting an average 3 FPS more in Furmark. If I leave my monitor plugged into my Powercolor one and leave it in the main PCIe 3.0 slot, and add in the ASUS card, to the other PCIe 3.0 slot, will it give a better/worse/equal performance than if I put the ASUS card in the main slot, plugged my monitor into that, and moved the Powercolor card into the other PCIe 3.0 slot?
