I wanna play Battlefield 3 on high
my budget on the Upgrade is 350$ but on a new build is 540$
my preferred website is Flipkart or amazon
Also I know that the PhenoII x4 965 BE is overclockable and it can fit into my motherboard also anyway I am buying a CPU cooler since the stock one has developed some problems and is it worthe to get the Phenom II x4 and overclock it quite a lot and get tthe same performance as an i3 or the FX-6300.. I am willing to get upto 45$ CPU cooler so that i can have the Same performance as the i3 or FX6300 aslo I have set my sights on the HD7850 2GB or the 7870LE so can someone help me here..?

I'd do a motherboard upgrade to a good (FX) AM3+ with PCIe 3.0 and SATA3 and invest in new memory. You should be able to use your Phenom in it until you are ready to upgrade it. Then, I would, upgrade graphics and SSD's.

The OP's current graphics is not capable of gaming. It's an HTPC card , at best. Tweaking (maybe unlocking?) the PhII X2 is the way to go.

I agree an SSD and AM3+ board is a good move ... in the future.

Edit: Give us an idea of your budget ... now, and 'down the road'

I've got an upgrade but first I want to ask..Is your memory a Dual Channel (two dimms) 2GB or just one dimm of 2GB? Can you link us the model of your memory?

He'll need a new PSU. If that is a typical Frontech unit, it will have insufficient amperage on the +12V. The most popular Frontech 450W unit I've found, has only 19A on the +12v.

Clean up your hardware to remove dust, update your motherboard's bios and install these updates! It will give you the best possible gaming perfomance! Sum 368$ (and 10$ MIR from GPU)
