Asking for opinions on selecting next machine

I've heard great things about this forum and have been recommended to come here several times. Any opinion would be appreciated.
I am looking for my next machine and I can not decide between an HP Envy dv7 7212nr (http://www.shopping.hp.com/en_US/home-office/-/products...), a Macbook, or even anything others may suggest.

The things I look for most in a machine are:
Reliability
Performance (mild gaming, nothing extreme)
Price
Display
Overall life span
I do not care for the weight. 5lbs to 10lbs, it wouldn't affect my choice.

The dv7 7212nr mentioned above seems like it has everything I may need, with a decent graphics card and even an SSD cache. It's also within my budget. At this moment, I have a Toshiba Satellite L955 s5370, ~$400 from Black Friday. It works fine, but I have been thinking of selling it to get a better machine.

I am asking for opinions on the PC mentioned above, as well as any other suggestions/advice anyone is willing to offer. Thanks in advance!
