My company has a Windows NT 4.0 Server running SP 6a. Starting last week, the server started locking up about 3 times a day and needed to be powered off each time.
We thought we had the problem isolated, because we are testing Windows XP clients and everytime one of them saved a file to the server, the server locked up. We removed all of the XP machines from the network, but the server kept locking up. All the other clients are 98 and NT.
We are getting a warning right before it locks up stating that the server was unable to find a free connection XX times in the last XX seconds. This warning occurs about 5 times before the lockup. Any ideas?
