Hello,

My system specs are below. I just built this system last week and everything is going well so far. But I have a question that I don't seem to find the right answer for where ever I look:

Under "Control Panel\Appearance and Personalization\Display\Screen Resolution", my monitor is correctly named and detected. Under Nvidia Control Panel the monitor is correctly recognized.

However, under "Device Manager", the monitor is named "Generic pnp Monitor". What gives?!!! This bothers me and I can't find a solution to get rid of this or correct it.

Any advise would be appreciated. (Monitor: Asus VS247H-P, GTX 660).....

Solution
Generic PNP monitor just means its a generic driver, its no issue, don't worry about it. Sometimes monitors just don't have its own drivers, or windows uses its own.
