If you are not willing to build a computer yourself I would say go for it, as it a a decently good computer . As for me being a computer builder I would not.

IS it for gaming? If so, its all wrong.

Get an i5
get 8gb RAM
Get a gtx 670

Will cost WAY less.

You can build a computer that will outperform that (in gaming) for a $1000:

i5 3570K
Radeon 7970/GTX 670

Can you explain to me why i5>i7?
m

l
February 24, 2013 9:37:42 PM

Games do not hyper-thread. An i5 is an i7 with no hyper-threading. Most people with an i7 disable hyper-threading when they game. The i5 is the best gaming CPU. Performs the same as an i7 for way less money and in some instances performs better.

And how about a x79 or z77?

i5 is 1155 socket so get a z77 board if you plan to overclock or an h77 board if you do not.

I'm kind of confused because there's a bunch of z77 boards and i don't know which one to pick.

i guarantee you wont use the disc drive, you can download hd quality videos or stream them, the gaming case is a bit ott price wise, in terms of graphics card ati radeon 7970, the ram is a bit excessive 8gb would be more than enough, i think youve gone a bit ott on the peripherals as well
