Far Cry 3 frame dips on 7870

So i bought Far Cry and started playing, working fine maxed out without msaa at around 60fps on multiplayer. But i noticed that after about 2 games or around 20 mins, the frames start dropping randomly from 60 all the way down to 38-40 and back up to 60s, causing a very annoying stuttering and choppiness. My gpu runs at around 58c while playing so heat is not a problem. Computer is about 3 days old so everything is brand new.

i5 3570 3.4ghz
ASUS 7870 Direct CUII 2GB
Corsair Vengeance 8GB DDR3
ASROCK H77 PRO 4 MVP MOBO
OCZ ZT 650W PSU
Windows 7 64 bit

Have you tried the catalyst 12.11 beta 11 driver? Here is a link:

I also read that there is a new catalyst driver being developed specifically for Far-Cry because it is common that it doesnt run very well on any card yet.

cpu temp? the i5 stock cooler is crap.

i had the same issue...then overclocked my gigabyte 7950 windforce from 900-->1100 core clock,and 1250-->1450 memory clock and now frame rates way higher
