Should I get rid of the extra 8GB of RAM?

what is the purpose of this system for? for gaming?or heavy multitasking/editing?
if it is for editing/multitasking/rendering then you should go for Intel's build and get that extra 8GB of RAM...
if no then you yes you should get rid of that extra 8GB of ram...

and also don't go for Rosewill's stallion series PSU...not good at all... get something like this

you might also consider swapping that SSD out for this which is cheaper...

Intel SSD's are THE best out there, they simply work, no fuss no nonsense, no 8 firmware updates to get going, only brand i trust.

Agreed with the Intel rig, your better off it is better everywhere.

No need for the fancy crap ram kingston/kingmax/elixer stuff works great and is 1000x more reliable and stable

PSU's Corsair is second to none in quality, ACBel has also never let me down (cheap and keeps going and going and going...)
