I recently tried playing Far Cry 3 on my computer and it starts out all good and fine. Then it gets to the first chapter, and it starts lagging majorly. It would seem like its 5 fps when it starts lagging. My graphics card is Pretty good i guess, its kinda out dated. It runs 2 monitors perfectly fine. Can you please tell me what i can do to make it not lag on far cry 3? I run most games 50fps without lag at all.

You tell us how much you can spend and importantly, what kind of power supply you have(Combined 12 volt current is important on multi-rail power supplies. It is not always just and add them up thing. many times it should be its own rating.).

The 5450 is outdated honestly and i suggest turning down ALOT of settings or upgrade. Far cry 3 isnt a joke on gpus either but still is a great game

I'm not trolling. I played WoW and Cod waw and Cod 4 on this graphics card and they ran like 40 - 45 normally. And i used to play runescape.. which doesn't say much but it has better graphics now.

I think he trolling honestly. You prob played them on low settings

I had a 4350 in my media center and it while slower then a 5450 I can say without a doubt it can not game worth a crap.

You would have to be playing some of the lowest settings/screen resolution in the world to get 40-50 on anything modern.

On the plus side. The card handles video playback just fine.

If you want a power powered card to play some games with reduced details, look to the 7770 and GTX 650 ti cards(400 watt power supply or greater recommended). They are not top end my any means, but a MASSIVE upgrade from a 5450.

Well probably 100 - 120$ max. I don't know what my power supply is, it's not a home built computer.

Edit:

Specs:

1KSRn

1tb Hdd

Give me a minute and i'll check the power supply.
