Driver display crash

January 7, 2013 9:55:46 PM

I have had my video card for a few months now and about a few weeks after I got it, I've been getting display driver crashes and still get them to this day.

My display driver seems to crash on specific games and it is not because my card can't handle it since it crashes on low-end games aswell, while it still can handle some newer games just fine. The frequency of the crashes can be reduced by underclocking my card to down from 800 to 750Hz. I have tried many solutions with each one having no success. I've swept my drivers, downgrading and upgrading the version (currently on 12.8) and also bought a new PSU, upgrading from a weak coolmaster to a XFX PRO550.

I have no idea on what to try next. Does anyone have any idea on fixing this issue?

My specs:

M2N68-LA motherboard
AMD Athlon II X2 240
4 GB RAM
Diamond Radeon HD 6670 2GB GDDR3
XFX PRO 550W
