What budget you have for tower and monitor? do you need OS too?

Your motherboard is AM3+, and your CPU is AM2. To my knowledge, those two components are not compatible.

The CPU and motherboard he choose is compatible, but I think there are better choices especially for motherboard

The Phenom II 965 is compatible with an 880+ motherboard. However Biostar is not a very well recommended or respected motherboard manufacturer. This would be better: http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16813157280

And the FX 6300 is a better CPU than the 965 for not a huge difference: http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16819113286

For case and PSU I'd do this:
