I desperately need help in fixing this.
Basically I was playing league of legends when all of a sudden the entire computer froze forcing me to reboot.
After the reboot, When windows was starting up I got a BSOD saying "Attempt to reset display driver and recover from time out failed".
So I put the computer on safe mode and found that people suggested to reinstall the driver which I did after.
After reinstalling the driver the computer would keep getting stuck at windows starting up. It does not look as if the computer is frozen but rather it doesn't seem to be doing anything.
I then reformatted my HD, reinstalled windows and installed the drivers. I was in windows for maybe 20-30 minutes and it seemed to be working fine but then my computer just froze up, forcing me to reboot. Again the it is the same problem, windows keeps getting stuck at starting up.
Any suggestions on how to fix this?
I'm using an Alienware M18x, 6990M in X-fire.
