My Sony STR-460Z is acting up - keeps going to "PROTECT" for no
apparent reason - previous searches indicate the amp maybe going. So
its time to replace the receiver.

I want to keep the facility for the speaker A/B but have only found
this on larger format receivers such as the Sony STR 595 or Yamaha
RDS530.

I would like to go to a lower height receiver but cant seem to find
one that offers the A/B switch.

So, can anybody recommend a low height receiver OR advsie how I can
connect up a second set of speakers to a receiver that is only
designed for a single set. Appreciate I cannot simply connect up the
second set as damage would more likely occur, plus I do not want the
second set (outside) on all the time. Is there any sort of switchbox
available that would do the job - or would one be simple enough to
make?

Thanks

Simon
