Hi,
Anybody here who has both an Audigy 2 and M-Audio Audiophile 2496 in the
same PC. Does this work without problems under Windows XP?! What do I
have to take into account? No problems with IRQ's or anything else? Is
it true that you then have to install WinXP as "standard PC" instead of
"ACPI" or will it also work with "ACPI" computer?
PS: is it true there is both a PCI and USB version of the Audiophile? Is
it best to get the PCI or USB version?
PS2: please mention which version of the Audigy you have.

There are many reports of this working well. If you have lots of
other devices installed all fighting for resources, you may have
problems.

No. Though this has solved audio problems on some systems.

PCI unless portability is a paramount consideration. If you're
considering an external sound interface, Firewire is a less
restrictive "pipe" than USB. (USB2 is OK, but the Audiophile is
USB1, and the market seems to have opted mainly for Firewire).

None. As a musician making multitrack recordings I have no use for
that type of soundcard.
