Ever since I purchased my 2010 Mac Pro and added the Parallel and Windows 7-64 bit, I had been getting messages on the Windows 7 that the Nividia graphics display adapter just shut down but restarted.
I had a 3 year warranty on my Mac so took it to the Apple store to get the graphics display adapter issue fixed. The person who I spoke with, and who looked at my laptop, told me it wasn't the Mac but the Windows7 that was causing the problem.
Now, I am just finding out that the Nividia graphics display adapter is welded onto the motherboard, which means it was a Mac issue. My warranty is up now, so I can't get it fixed. Shouldn't the people who work in the Apple store who are techs to check your laptop, know where the graphics card is located?
My windows side keeps having temporary shutdowns of the graphic display adapter and I am afraid that will be the end of an expensive Mac laptop. I already had the same problem with a Toshiba laptop when it was only 13 months old the graphics video display adapter permanently stopped and the laptop was toast.
Are there any good laptops that have video graphic adapter displap cards that you can just insert like you do ram?
This is my second laptop in a roll with this display adapter killer problem.
Has anyone else had this problem and what can be done about it?
