500watts should be more than ample, unless its of bad quality. what model and brand ur powersupply is and whats ur budget for a new one if ur ps is junk?

The store that i bought my rig from has its own firm so its not of great quality i guess :(  still its 500w why does the quality matter ?

Some PSU makers rate their PSUs at PEAK power, while the better ones rate theirs at continuous power. So you could have two suppplies, each rated at 500 watts, but one will deliver at least 500watt at all times, while the other will probably deliver at most 500 watts.

yes it does, because even do some companies rate a 500watt power supply at 500watts doesnt mean it will actually deliver total output of 500watts,
