Pros and Cons About CD-RW disks

From the postings here, I have an impression that CD-RW disk is slower to write and more error-prone than CD-R. But it certainly has its merit that you can write many times to it. But is it worth the time and trouble for that and how many times can I write to a CD-R disk?

you can write to a cdrw about 1000 times according to the specs.. I use em mostly when I want to back up copy protected stuff ( games etc) I make the backups on rw's until I get the settings right and they work and then I make the final copies on a cdr for archiving ..saves the old coaster syndrome as I can erase mistakes etc

ok.. say i want to burn 3 Mp3's on a Cd-r disc, is there a way i can Burn 3 mp3s.. take it out play it on my DVD player..then burn another 4 or 5 more songs on there when i get some new ones..

my cd writer can only burn on CD-R discs.. which SUCKS..

Note, however, that every time you leave a multisession disc open, it takes about 20mb of the space up.

well, i just gave the DVD player as an Example...i just wanted to know if theres a way to burn something on a CD-R, and then Burn on there again..and i guess Multisession is the way to do it.. because my HD is small and i don't like keeping tons of stuff on it, but i download stuff quite often.. so i wanted to burn a Data Disc with like 50 Mp3's and then when i get a few more Burn it again...because i waste tons of discs'....
