Hello,

I just installed 4 monitors, LG E2242 on two AMDRadeon HD 5570 cards. The first two connected with DVI ports and the other two with HDMI ports.

So far there is no problem except one of them shows max resolution 1920x1080 while the other three show 2048x1536. I have tried to rearranged the connection and also check all configuration but that one monitor still shows the max of 1920x1080.

Is there any possibility of manufacturing problem on the card or the monitor or something else like wrong setting?

Thank you.

Where are you seeing the maximum resolutions? According to the specs I've found for the monitor, it's max resolution is actually 1920x1080. Anything that says a resolution above 1920x1080, I would disregard.

Thank you, Wolfshadw.

It is shown in Display Properties/ Setting Tab / Screen Resolution.

The resolution setting slider 'Less-More' shown that the particular monitor is 1920x1080 at full right position while the other monitors still have more resolution beyond 1920x1080, that is: 1600x1200, 1920x1200, 1792x1344, 1856x1392, 1800x1440, and at full right 2048x1536. All of these resolutions are really functioning although some of them were not well fit.

So far I keep the 1920x1080 for all monitors (I rotated my screens 90° so they are in 1080x1920). I think I'd better neglect this little problem as per your suggestion but still wondering about it.

I'm thinking now that you may not have four identical monitors. Even if you purchased all four monitors at the same time, you may have received one older revision; this being the one that reports a maximum resolution of 1920x1080, while all the others are newer and report a maximum resolution of 2048x1536. Many times you will find that the maximum resolution of a monitor is not as clear/distinct as the native/recommended resolution of a monitor.

The first thing came to my mind is just the same as your thought, but their labels at the back, on the box and manual are exactly the same. Sometime I also think that the problem is on the card. Anyway, it don't very matter to me now.

Thank you for your sharing, Wolf.
