I am going to add more computers to my network. I am using a 4 port SWITCH right now. I plan to connect an eight port HUB to expand my network will the hub affect the network performance of the computers connected to the switch.

Any help will be appreciated.

nope - won't make any difference other than the overall increased traffic loading.

It'll affect the speed of the computers on the switch talking to the computers on the hub. And it'll probably have a slight decrease overall, but just for the computers on the hub it shouldn't make a difference.

All the ports from the hub will send any data sent to the hub. A hub is effectively a multi-port repeater.

The switch will filter data from any source to the correct destination port.
