I went from Thermaltake Frio CPU Cooler to the CM because of price

Iffy about PSU and MOBO but looked like a deal; modular is a priority.

I am big on true 5.1 surround and don't know what to expect from this MOBO..

I will be using this for gaming on 1 1920*1080 display.

I'm wanting a card that's gonna give me the highest level of performance over time.

I have had the radeon 6950 2gb, Galaxy GTX 680 2GB, and a Vapor X 7970 NOT Ghz edition.

The GTX 680 smoked it but we have SUPERCLOCKED and GHZ Editions now so I dont really know.

and coil whine annoys the living hell out of me..

Thanks everyone!

  1. GTX 670!

This is because you are only using one monitor @1080P. Even cards like the GTX 570 can play almost all games on high-ultra settings, and that's a card that is well behind the speed of the 670. With the saved money you can buy a dedicated soundcard!

    Thank you =)

Advice on my other parts would also be welcomed.
  4. Very low end board! Get at least the Z77 Extreme 4.

    What power supply?

For either of those cards you only need a 500W PSU, 650W would be ideal.

What is wrong with the board? also what're the benefits of choosing the more expensive board you have recommended..

    Thanks!
  6. I ordered the following build. Opinions still welcome.

    PSU

    i5 3570k
EVGA Superclocked signature 2 GTX 680 2gb (This overall looks to be the current fastest card out of the box to me)
    Rosewill WHITE THOR case
    MSI Z77A-GD55
    Kingston HyperX 2x4GB 1600 DDR3

I got all of that above shipped for $1,070

I already have DVD Drive and Crucial M4 256GB SSD

I want some opinions on that card and if it is voltage locked since it is factory OC

Thanks! I'll post pics when I build. I got 2 day shipping and ordered just now so Monday night maybe?
