I am looking for Hardware/Software that will enable me to analyze video from a web cam connected to my PC and detect a change (movement) in the picture.
Any ideas ?

i don't think it exists very helpfull hardware.

you have to find a video soft which analyzes in real time the video input flow, picture by picture & "detects" changes between them with a picture/video algorithm.

if you know you don't know, the way could be more easy.

I know of a hardware product that can do it in real time,
Do you have the $500,000 USD for it ?

Maybe if you will explain better what you are trying to do.....

Many webcam programs have this feature for free or for very little $$. Most of them use it for a type of security system.

If you can't use one of these maybe you can get one of the more time endowed developers to help you craft something that will work for you.
