Upgrade current system

Hey I need some advice to improve my current system, it's 4 years old and Iam on low budget. I want to get decent fps on bf3. Right now I can play it on low with 30-50 fps.

My spec:

Mobo:Gigabyte GA-MA785GMT-UD2H, Socket-AM3
CPU: AMD Athlon II x4 635
GPU: MSI GTX 250 512
Ram 4gb
PSU 550w

Iam on budget of 200-300dollars

I just want to replace some parts so I can use it for other 3-4 years. I was thinking replace CPU with AMD phenom x4 965 BE.

Here's what I would do....

1. Double existing RAM or get a new 8GB dual channel kit of DDR3-1333

2. 2GB 7850

The total will be less than $300

You already have a quad core CPU and jumping to the 965 will only give you .4GHz jump vs. massive GPU upgrade.
I think you'll see a huge difference with more/better RAM and the 7850 that will last at least a few years.
