Yes yes yes... another one who had the same problem as me... and its one of
those problems that you can't always reproduce. It has happened for me 3
times now, and last time yesterday, I promptly threw the phone at the floor
in rage, its really isnt that funny to loose a very long sms now and then.
I'm talking about moving down in the end of a long sms because I want to see
the beginning of the sms again before I send it....BANG! Instant reboot, and
this last time the radio was on (on loudspeaker) and when the phone booted
up again the radio was off, but everytime I tried to call a number the
loudspeaker was making this loud whining sound. I then had to turn on the
radio (and ofcourse insert that stupid headset first, because of the
antenna???!!), and turn it off again, before I could call nokia tech support
and ask for help. They said that they never heard about the problem before
and they werent alowed to give information about what the newest version of
the firmware was, but they did say that if it had a date in may or after it
was the newest. I felt really helpless at that point and stored the phone at
home, returning to my good old 6100.. Today I found this forum and hopefully
a firmware will fix this problem in the nearby future...

what more.. well I guess i am rather disapointed with the speed, I wanted
this phone because I thought it was as fast and fancy as the 6230, but it
really is very very slow in comparrison. Ofcouse theres a lot of features
compared to the 6100, but it always worked fine...

-My photos is grainy too, even when they are taken in daylight.
-I DONT want preview of the sms in my inbox. Why isnt this optional?
-Why are the mms messages in my inbox together with the sms.. I liked it
when they were sepperate..
-Its a little big too... wish I could have a 6100 with bluetooth, radio and
maybe a camera..not nessesarely a good one, but just so you have it for
small fun pictures, I mean, those pictures from phones will never as good as
the ones from a real camera, and I almost always bring my little ixus with
me...
-Is it me or is that navigating button not the best idea? even the joystick
on the sony 750i that I played with yesterday felt better. And I always saw
nokia as the forerunner.. we dont need all those options/buttons at all
points... its difficult to write sms', which I do a lot...difficult
navigating inside the sms without clicking the pad when you dont want and
sometimes mistakenly send the sms.. as if theres wasn't enough buttons on a
say... 6100, it really worked a lot better for those features that you use
mostly.
-And this "push and talk"-feature which pops up now and then and want to be
turned on, when all I want is change the volume... hey my country dont even
support the feature.. and for all I care I dont think I want it..

Should I go and buy a 6230???

Do you guys think I can return this 6230i to the web-store for being faulty,
even though that sms problem is a software related problem (thats just what
I think), cause I would like too!

well.. I will follow this forum everyday for firmware related fixes..

thanx for the help..

a hrmf nokia-fan, or former, or whatever... Mads
