My graphics drivers won\'t install, does this mean my card is bad?

I just bought a new hard drive and installed windows 8 on it. I recently bought a new board and processor. After putting the drive in, I tried to install my graphics drivers and my computer crashes every time. Once I restart the computer, the screen freezes and tears after about 2 minutes of running. Could this mean my card is bad?

so you have a new board and processor. ( new memory? ) new hard drive...................... what are these components?

what are you using for video?

list all components.

make sure on the mb the 4/8 pin atx power plug is connected. if you installed windows on another mb then moved it over to this new mb. your going to have to boot into safe mode and under device manager remove all of the system devices..ie hard drive..video cards..mb drivers. then reboot and see if windows will install the right drivers for the new mb.

it should see the "new" hardware without having to deal with such extremity.
