Going to be wanting high performance high end graphics for gaming
3DsMax, and some light video/picture/music editing
and of course internet browsing, listening to music and watching movies.

I'll get the first build since for gaming you'll want the SLI 680's esp on triple screens but consider bumping the 3570k up to a 3770k and saving off a bit with motherboard (grab something like the gigabyte z77x ud4h)

Have you considered getting a titan or two since you might want the extra compute power

in the first build the cpu could be better considering the other parts i would go for the second one seems more logical!if money is not an issue why dont you go higher?

you had the money and you were wondering about 3570k or 3930k?
of course the second one!

Is there really a need for 680 4GB cards? At least in gaming, they won't beat 670 4GB cards and even then, the usefulness of 4GB cards like these is is not really different from the 2GB cards since they pretty much never run into RAM capacity issues before running out of memory bandwidth and the 4GB cards can't avoid that anyway.

Supposedly, it was due to poor drivers, but Titan did very poorly in most of Tom's compute tests compared to what was expected from it. Are you sure that it's really worth roughly doubling graphics costs for it?

What I am worried about is if I get a i7 to do rendering is the i7 going to affect the fps and graphics of the game. And getting a 4gb gpu will help overall in multiple displays if I plan on expanding more then 3. And I like the specs on the dual 680s. Slightly better then the 670s and better the one 690. Especially if I want multiple displays. And im not to fond of the titans.

Out of my builds would you change any of the componants?

And is a 3770k better then a 3750k.. and the 3930k is the best i7 for gaming right?
