PC Network Card help installing!

I recently bought a network card, it arrived today! and I don't know why but it will not fit in the PCI slot? What do I do, I have taken some pictures for you guys to see better!

Please help, do I have to cut it? Or what do I do? I thought this would be rather simple but it's turning into a nightmare!

I'm surprised your computer does not have a built-in LAN card.

It looks like your motherboard has no PCI slots. Only PCI express 1x and PCI express 16x slots.

This card will not work with your motherboard.

It does have a lan input but it's not working anymore I don't know when I try to connect with LAN, it says "The Network Adapter does not have a valid IP Configuration".

I have tried everything, from installing windows vista to windows 7, new drivers, etc... but it will no work! The cable works on my laptop so its not the ethernet cable. Do you know how to fix it?

I'm not the best when it comes to internet issues. You said the same port works with your laptop, correct? Not just cable, The same exact port on your router/ wall?

Yes, I removed the cable from the PC and connected to the laptop and it instantly connected to the network without changing port from router.

You don't have any computers set to a static IP right?

OMG I just fixed it! It was not working for 2 days and now it works for some reason after plugin it!
