GeForce GTX 480 SLI or ???

I have 2 GeForce GTX 480 running in SLI and across 3 monitors and am looking to upgrade. Suggestion on a one card solution that is close to what I have now that will run cooler (these are CRAZY HOT!!) and I can add a second in SLI so my games do not slow down over 3 monitors now or down the road. I'm not sure if the cards out there now are worth the cost to get the bump (or same as I have now) in a one card solution, eventually going into SLI again.

gtx 480 sli are equal to a single gtx 680.

A gtx 670 is about 5% slower than a gtx 680.

$100 savings per card, definately try for gtx 670 sli.

You could go with 2x 670's in SLi that would be about the same as a 690 or a little slower. Let me ask you though do you play any Nvidia Physx games because if not you may want to look towards something like a 7970 which will handle 3 monitor display a little easier and more efficiently then nvidia surround.

480s in SLI is still a viable set up. I am not sure an upgrade to a 670 or the like is going to make performance gain worth the money. I'd hold off for newer cards. If you wanted to just take care of heat and power issue then sure a 670 OC would do the trick.
