I bought this cooler especially to just cool off my GPU a little gpu is Sapphire Radeon 7950 , when playing black ops 2 everything on highest temps are 65c so I thought I would get this cooler http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16835119097 to cool it off a little , okay so everything is just fine however I also have a Asus Xonar DX soundcard which is connected to another slot so the xonar card is now getting most of the cool off.. I was thinking of buying some sort of card to give me extra slot because the GPU is too big for the cooler to fit just below under it I need like 2 slots but the xonar card fits ok. I was thinking something like this. Now it is like that: GPU Soundcard Cooler I want. GPU Slot 1 Cooler Slot 2 Soundcard Slot 3 This is my motherboard: http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E168... any suggestions ? thank you More about : question lt_dan_zsu January 10, 2013 2:54:54 AM I don't know how that would work with your mobo, unless you had room on the bottom. It the cooler 2 slot? I don't know why you got a cooler. 65C is a perfectly fine temperature. m 0 l Cons29 January 10, 2013 7:50:35 AM 65 is ok, i even reach 70 sometimes. but now it's 49-50 m 0 l Related resources What should I upgrade 1st - Forum What PSU should i use? - Forum What RTS game should I play? - Forum what speed upload download should nas drive be. - Forum What type of case should I get? But if you want a Good Airflow, install some Intake fans. Which case you have? m 0 l patt2k January 10, 2013 3:11:20 PM The thing that is scaring me more is my cpu it sometimes goes close to 70c I thought that would be because the card is putting more stress on CPU. Core i7 1366 LGA 2.8 ghz 930 series I will be buying soon this CPU Cooler hope it will do the job fine. http://www.scythe-usa.com/product/cpu/052/scys1000-deta... of course I am buying it somewhere else to almost half the price lol. Thank for your any input @lt_dan_zsu the thing is that the plastic is fat enoguh I would need space in 2 slots for this to work, I was thinking of a PCI Riser? what is your opinion on that? m 0 l lt_dan_zsu January 10, 2013 8:52:22 PM I think 70C is perfectly fine for that cpu. I don't know If I would get a riser. It doesn't seem like it would be secure at all. m 0 l Sumukh_Bhagat January 12, 2013 4:46:01 AM Have you cleaned your CPU?
