LiveKernelEvent - Driver Crash (black screen in games)

January 10, 2013 9:36:33 AM

Okay so a few weeks ago i built my PC and everything was fine except for a hardware crash i would get when having multiple youtube tabs opens on a web browser. The screen would freeze for a second then blackness then recovery and i'd get a notification saying "Display driver crashed and recovered" or something. A couple days ago i fixed this error by downloading the Nvdia driver that was released and now i can open up as many you tube tabs without problems. However, this problem fixed and then error decided to change its behaviour. Now i get this error when playing games and aobut 10 minutes into playing i will get a black screen then then my framerate drops to about 20fps until i restart the game. Sometimes the black screen stays and i have to hard reboot my PC :/ . I get this error all the time and would really like to fix it. I've already tried reinstalling drivers and downgrading and stuff but now its fixed like this. I tried the microsoft Fix-It RDR or whatever it is. No change.

Anyway i yesterday i formatted my harddrive and reinstalled windows and all other drivers (Nvidia driver, motherboard drivers from disk) same thing happens so I think it could be a hardware error. But this question is which one? I did the windows memory diagnostics tool and it found no errors, My graphics card isn't overclocked or anything and i get nice average temperatures (27C idle, up to 60C under load), My power supply i think maybe a bit faulty because the fan doesnt spin sometimes and some games i can hear a strange buzzing sound. Anyway if it is my power supply why woul i get driver errors. The power supply is a corsair 750w more then enough to handle my PC.

Please please please help me i know you can :'( . If this error carries on i swear i'll throw my £1,000 PC out the window!!!
