I am wirelessly connecting to a router that I share with others.

Is there any way I can be CERTAIN none of the other users can see what I am doing and/or gain access to my computer?

As far as securing your computer, if you are using Windows 7, just disable any sharing and treat the network as a public network.

Your network traffic could be monitored with an appropriate HW or SW solution if the user knows what they are doing. If you need security consider VPN.
  2. I would recommend a personal firewall as well if you do not have one already, or make sure the windows one is turned on, which it should be by default.
