Press F11 key during boot and hope the recovery partition is there.

Someone? Now who would have access to your computer, and Vista install disks? Also, what do you mean by "nothing works"? Are you talking about applications or will the machine not boot at all? What version of Vista? 32 or 64-bit? What was your original OS? 32 or 64 bit?
