Would games like Crysis 3 be able to run on ultra? Since its a 1440p monitor i feel a 7970 is a must!

Thanks!

At 1440p maxed out, the 7970 ghz will struggle in crysis 3 :

It's a good card for 1440p, nevertheless, for crysis 3 you'll have to reduce the settings for it, maybe a new driver and game patches will drastically improve the performance, but for now crysis 3 is really demanding and for 1440p it's really punishing, but in other games it will do just fine.
Overall you have a solid build.

Thanks for the reply. Since it will be overclocked and wont be 1600p, i could definitely limit the AA as 1440p already makes objects quite clear. So i could definitely get a higher fps. Anyways is the rest of the build alright?

Thanks!

Edit.

Never mind i see you already answered my question ;)

Yes, you can expect more fps at 1440p than at 2560x1600, but you'll have to turn some settings down(if you want more than ~40 fps overall), but it will be more than playable.
Yes, it's a solid build, but i'd just get the ram with 1600 mhz, it's cheaper.
And the xfx xxx edition 750 : http://www.amazon.com/XFX-Modular-240-Pin-Certified-P1750XXXB9/dp/B008O50WGA/ref=sr_1_1?s=electronics&ie=UTF8&qid=1362091305&sr=1-1&keywords=xxx+750
^it's semi-modular, that's if you want to add later another card, if not, just get a psu within 550-600W for a single card, like the xfx 550 core edition or corsair TX V2 650W.
