I have a system running two EVGA GTX 295's in SLI and a 8800 GTS handling PhysX. I have been getting lock-ups, random loud buzzes and crashes when running BF3 and, especially, Medal of Honor - Warfighter. Since my graphics cards apparently only support DX10 and Windows 7 runs DX 11, could that be the source of my problem? If so, is there a solution (like downgrading to DX 10)?

I found on Wikipedia and the Frostbite 2 sites that both of the games you've listed both support DirectX 10 and 11, not 9 anymore. And since you're 2 GTX 295's in Sli both support DirectX 10, they should run those games no problem. Could it be updating the latest Geforce drivers? Also, what about taking out the 8800 GT just to see if the games will run more efficient. Worth a shot.

I am currently running the latest Microsoft-approved drivers for all of the cards. I can't figure out how to downgrade from DX 11 to DX 10. The Microsoft installer just says I'm already running the latest version of DirectX and refuses to install anything.

I will try removing the 8800 and see if the problems go away. I think MOHW may have its own problems, but I am now seeing problems with BF3 as well. BTW, any thoughts on whether PhysX should be run on one of the 295's or the CPU?
