Hi all,

HELP!!!

Just got a brand spanking new set of Klipsch 5.1 ProMedia speakers. Connected to my AudigyEx Paltinum card. Seemed to work fine. ran the tests with Creative SW, and got sound out of all the speakers fine.

Plug in a DVD, and get no sound out of the Center Channel speakers. Checked all the settings according to Creative, and still no center channel.

Enabled SPDIF on DVD, and absolutely no sound. Changed the output back to wave.

Also removed the physical SPDIF connection from DVD to sound card, rebooted. Still no center channel.

Win2K Pro SP2. P4 1.7 GHz, 1G RAM. Don't remember the MB type.

Thanks for your help.

Have you set the PowerDVD configuration to 6-channel mode? Also, turn off the Audigy's mediocre Dolby audio decoding by clicking on Advanced settings under the Speaker configuration in AudioHQ.
