I wanted to buy Vapor X 7970 ghz edition, thought it was gonna take a while (a month or so) to restock, so bought HIS IceQ X2 7970 ghz. Then voila, it pops back out a couple days later. I hate my itchy trigger finger...

Is Vapor X better than IceQ X2, or are they just more popular? They both have good cooling ability and are considerably quiet than stock.

I'm thinking of returning IceQ X2, but NewEgg restocking fee is out of this world (20%, I think), but if the difference is profound, I will have to sell it on Craigslist or something.

Overclockability, Noise, Performance are important to me (no particular order). All user experiences are welcome, but some stat would be nice, too (I had a hard time finding them).

It's not worth it. What the guy said is true, they're basically the same chip. Sapphire itself is just a really trustable and reliable brand, with Vapor-X being a good cooling system, thus making the vapor-x 7970 ghz more popular than most others (And it also looks pretty sick compared to others). The HIS IceQ X^2 also has a really good cooling system. It's really not worth any extra money.

Practically speaking, no.
The vapor may perform slightly better, but the cost and hastle don't justify it.

If you want to return it, go ahead, but if your asking should you, it doesn't make a lot of sense.
