I'm actually quite happy with the performance of my rig, but being the tinkerer I am, I love upgrading. I've been doing a lot of research and I just don't see any upgrade worth it except for adding another GPU and I'm happy to finally have a 1 card solution. I was considering a CPU/Mobo upgrade, but that is where I get stuck, is anything worth it from a price/performance perspective. Here is my rig:
ASUSTeK COMPUTER INC. P8P67-M PRO
Intel I-5 2500K (not overclocked)
XGX 7970 Gigahertz edition / 3gigs of ram.
16 gigs 1600ghz ram (forgot the brand but I think its Gskill or something high end)
1000 watt Silver PSU
OCZ-AGILITY3 [Hard drive] 120.03 GB - Primary/OS drive
ST2000DM001-9YN164 [Hard drive] (2000.40 GB)
Should I just OC the CPU? Its running on a stock cooler with decent silver thermal paste.
I'm also happy to just not do anything and wait for the next gen of CPU
Thanks for the advice.
