Asus fan xpert and 3 pin fans

Hello,

I have a Asus P8Z77-v MB and a Thermaltake Level 10 GT case. I want to have the MB control the fans but it looks like I need a 4 pin connector for the fan control header and the case fans have a 3 pin connector. Will this still work?

I have the M5A97 and CM 912 case.
It works perfectly fine with the 3 pin fans in the case.

I would just like to Add that on my Z68 board(Maxiumus IV Gene-z), 3 pin fans control fine on all but the cpu headers(controlled in the bios, but fan xpert does give more control).
