Hello,

I have a Asus P8Z77-v MB and a Thermaltake Level 10 GT case. I want to have the MB control the fans but it looks like I need a 4 pin connector for the fan control header and the case fans have a 3 pin connector. Will this still work?

im not 100% sure, but im pretty sure it will still work
you may need a 3pin to 4pin adapter though if you can plug in the 3pin one

The motherboard will not be able to control three pin fans. The fourth pin is the pwm pin and that is what is used to control fan speed. The only way to have individual control of three pin fans is to use a fan controller. Check out this link for samples: http://www.newegg.com/Product/ProductList.aspx?Submit=E...

That is not true! Asus' Fan Xpert software can also control 3 pin fans as well as 4 pin ones.
