Hi everybody I'm in a bit of a pickle, I can't make up my mind on what graphics card I want to get, I have all my other hardware and the graphics card is last, i have 4 options 680 or a 7970 gtx edition, what is better of the two, and should I get 660ti sli vs 670 sli is the 200$ upgrade really worth it, any replies would be greatly appreciated.

"7970 gtx edition"

Anyways, if you need the power, get 670 SLI. Otherwise get a 7970 Ghz edition. Don't think that a 680 or 660ti sli are good options compared to those two.

BigMack70 is right. The definitely-not-worth card to get is the 680. Cost too much for miniscule performance increase over a 670.

7970 or 670 are good choices.

I have a XFX 7970 3 GB Ghz Edition and I haven't regretted the purchase as it maxes out every game I have played so far with ease. Temps stay cool around 60C at full load. I sold two 6870's and a 660ti to pay for it and it runs circles around those. Dont do SLI or Crossfire if you dont have to due to micro stuttering. Not to mention some titles dont natively support CF or SLI so you are stuck with 1 cards performance. 1 powerful card will always out perform 2 okay cards, just not on price.

This is micro stuttering for anyone not familiar with it
